Cultural chilean problem about immigration

There's a cultural problem about immigration in Chile. It seems like Chilean people doesn't like inmigration in the country. But the real worry is about how immigrants look like. In recent years there has been an increase in Haitian and Venezuelan immigrants, forming a home and family in Chile. These people have been victims of discrimination and ill-treatment. There are European immigrants (in less quantity) too, but it seems like they aren't a problem. It seems like the chilean problem is skin color and poverty of immigrants.

What about higher education in Chile?

There's a common thought about education as a way of move up socially. In Chile, the idea of studying in a college or a technical institute causes in people the ilussion of posible good jobs and better salary. But it depends on another topics like the kind of college or institute, family, social and economical situation. Can we have good jobs through studies? It seems like the answer is yes , but we are going to look for it in the real life.

BIODATA

Gabriela Guerra Garrido is a future sociologist and flight assistant who was born in Santiago, Chile. She’s a planned daughter who was stucked in the hospital elevator minutes after she was born. She was a good student of a public school in Maipú. In 2017 she joined Universidad de Chile to study sociology. Now she’s pursuing her 4 th year of the career, and she expects be a professional next year. After that, she wants to be a flight assistant: her dream profession (by now). She likes to spend time with relatives and friends. Gabriela could be a very good company for being a talkative and funny person. That’s why almost all her jobs (or opportunities to make money) involve being in touch with people. She likes to study at house and take all the time she can in that. She loves experimenting in the kitchen and testing new recipes (only vegetarian ones). She says cooking is the best therapy for daily unrests.
